Concept and design philosophy

The Copycat lamp is an exercise in balance and duality . It is made of two perfect spheres of different sizes: the larger is made of opaline glass , from which the light emanates; the smaller, placed next to the first at a delicate point of contact, is made of noble metal , polished or matte.
The project plays on the idea of ​​the silent relationship between objects , of what is original and what “imitates” it – hence the name “Copycat”.

The visual interaction between the two volumes creates a poetic and ambiguous form, in which the spheres merge and distinguish themselves at the same time.
