Concept and Design Philosophy

The IC series draws inspiration from contact juggling, where spheres appear to float precariously in the performer's hands. Anastassiades wanted to capture this moment of perfect balance, translating it into a luminous object where an opal sphere appears suspended on a minimalist metal structure. The name "IC" refers to the codes used by British police to classify the perceived ethnicity of those stopped, adding a layer of social reflection to the design.
