The To-Tie lamp represents an exercise in extreme reduction and at the same time a technical and functional challenge. Designed by Guglielmo Poletti , the lamp is made up of just three elements: a borosilicate glass cylinder , an anodized aluminum structure , and a fabric cable , which has both a mechanical and electrical function.
The name “To-Tie” refers to the object's construction principle: the structure is held together by the tension of the cable, without the use of screws or glue. It is a disassembled object, completely free of glue and adhesives , designed with sustainability and recyclability in mind.
