Cassina's Galaxy lamp is an icon of modern design, reinterpreted by Cassina in collaboration with the Eames Office, and offered in contemporary finishes, including matte white.
Its shape evokes a “luminous explosion”, like a starry sky branching out into space.
Design and inspiration

The original project dates back to 1949, the work of Charles and Ray Eames , conceived as a museum element for “An Exhibition for Modern Living”.

The structure is characterised by a central sphere from which 36 stems of different lengths branch off, each with its own light source: this scheme recalls the structure of a galaxy.

The matte white finish gives visual lightness and neutrality, making it adapt elegantly to both bright and darker environments.
