The Taraxacum 1 is one of the first lamps created for Flos in 1960, born from the visionary mind of the Castiglioni brothers, but still surprisingly relevant today.
Inspired by the light, spherical structure of the dandelion , the lamp combines artisanal materiality and experimental research on diffused light .

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Taraxacum 1 is a spherical pendant lamp, made with a metal structure covered with a special diffuser material based on cocoon spray resin , originally developed in the 1960s.
This material, sprayed onto a metal cage , creates a semi-transparent, fibrous surface that:

• spreads the light in a soft and enveloping way

• gives an ethereal and sculptural presence to the lamp

It is a timeless lamp, capable of blending with any type of furniture: modern, vintage, industrial or classic.
